We would like to make you aware of an exciting upcoming opportunity - applications are now open for the Central China Normal University 'Yangtze River' International Summer School 2026, taking place between 22 June to 5 July 2026.

Fees: RMB￥800 per person per day, altogether RMB￥11200 per person for 14 days.

The fees cover the expenditures after you arrive Wuhan and register to the programme, including tuition, transport, accommodation, meals and tickets for tourist sites.

The programme combines field trips to various natural and man-made sites along the Yangtze River, academic lectures and seminars. It enables you to:

• personally experience the wonderful nature and projects
• know and understand Chinese efforts of using and protecting the Yangtze River
• discuss with renown scholars on the challenges of using and protecting the Yangtze River
• work with your peer students on some mini projects
• learn about Chinese history and tradition and expand your horizon

Application Eligibility & Process 

Ther summer programme is open to students from China and other countries, applicants should meet the following requirments:

- Aged between 18-35 years;

- Proficient in English language (required for non-English native speaking applicants, TOEFL, GRE, or IELTS scores are preferred forms of proof);

- Application form, CV, student card, passport, and passport photo (3.5*5.3cm colour photo)

The deadline for completed applications is Thursday 30 April 2026 at 5pm. 

In order to apply, please submit the following scanned/digital document copies to the Confucius Institute email mailbox confucius-enquiries@gla.systa-s.com by the deadline: 

• Completed Application Form - Yangtze River Summer School Application Form 2026 with attached digital photo
• An attached personal statement (250 words approx.)
• A photocopy of your passport photo page

Other Fees 

Applicants will be required to pay for and arrange their own:   

• Visa application fees (if required)
• International return flights
• Travel insurance for full travel period

*It is very important that you do not book flights, arrange travel insurance or apply for your Visa until your summer school application result has been confirmed as successful.*
