Awards to Prof Lucas and Dr Feeney at the UIA Symposium in Utrecht, April 2023

We are pleased to announce that Prof Margaret Lucas was recently elected as President of the Ultrasonic Industry Association (UIA) at the 51st UIA Annual Symposium in Utrecht. She also received the inaugural award of Fellow for her services to the UIA and to ultrasonics research. Moreover, Dr Andrew Feeney was also elected to the Board of Directors of the UIA at the Symposium. Our congratulations to both of them for their success!

Prof Margaret Lucas was elected a Fellow of the RSE, awarded the IET Achievement Medal for Ultrasonic Technology, and has become the new Dean of Research for the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Glasgow.

The formal launch of the Centre for Medical and Industrial Ultrasonics will be held on the 11th February, and includes the inaugural Dugald Cameron Lecture, given by Dugald Cameron himself, who was involved in the design of the first commercial medical ultrasound machine.
