JUST TOUR Seminar Series: Responses to Contestations of Touristification. This seminar will explore the various ways residents respond to the rapidly evolving phenomenon of touristification. Looking into different mediums, such as protest, street art, communal gatherings, comics, and satirical tourist brochures and posters in varying spatial contexts across Europe, to consider the affordances, capacities and motivations that inform resident engagement with particular responses to touristification, as well as the effects of such mediums in their spatial contexts.
